I have SO enjoyed the View from my Window page! I looked forward each day to viewing the photos & reading the posts. I researched many locations; thinking, "I'll go there someday." View From My Window....I will miss you!

View From My Window was not only a breath of fresh during the pandemic, but also a unique opportunity to bring people together from all over the world. It certainly opened my view as to was else is out there and make me want to go discover it. Thank you Barbara for doing this and for all your efforts.

What a gift we got when VFMW started. While tucked in our corners facing uncertainty we were able to get reassurance that others were out there, too. Seeing homes and backyards and streets not from Tourism agencies but from the people who lived there was what we looked forward to each day and dreamed of being able to visit someday. We were participating in a group hug that we will forever remember. I’m going to miss seeing photos each day but want to thank everyone who worked on the page and everyone who participated by sharing the views from their windows.

It has been an honor to be able to share views with others from around the world. It assuages some of the ugliness that is so prevalent to be reminded that there is much that unites us as well.
