Enjoyed all the pictures and stories, particularly during lockdown, home by myself. Thanks to the admin team for their hard work

I signed up sometime in mid March 2020 when the World was starting to feel very weird. The idea for this page was just brilliant and I'm very glad to have had the pleasure of being part of this worldwide community.

VFMW did not just open my eyes and view of the world, but it helped me feel connected to people from all walks of life. I never would have had this opportunity without the book. I was especially thankful that my entry got picked to get published for the second book. I felt so humbled (and still feel that way) to have shared my own story. Thank you to Barbara and the whole team for this eye opening experience, right from my home.

If it were up to me, Barbara, I’d award View From My Window — you, the team and the collective millions who contributed slices of their world — the Nobel Peace Prize. Big hugs for giving us a way to share our lockdown emotions and for giving many of us a peek at our next homes and destinations. With great appreciation, Diane Morello

This was my absolute favorite Facebook group. It was so lovely to see so many views around the world. Made me want to travel more. But it was so nice to have when we couldn’t go anywhere in the pandemic. Thank you.

Seeing all the wonderful pictures from all over the world has lifted my heart and spirit. There are so many breathtaking views from so many windows! The photos are so hopeful and made/make me feel connected with all the people who took them. I bought the first book and the download and still enjoy leafing through them. I feel like an armchair traveller and at the same time it's inspiring for eventual travels ahead. Thank you Barbara for your idea, initiative and tireless effort.

This group will always be my favorite group from Facebook. It gave me renewed faith in mankind at a time when there was so much uncertainty. I enjoyed every view & post. Thank you to the creator & administrators. Blessings to all!♥️

The sharing of our views gave us a glimpse of a world greater than the one we were living in. For one brief shining moment we had a visual Camelot.

VFMW provided a connection to other folk across our world, during a time of physical and emotional isolation. It was heartening, inspiring and humbling to be in this global community. 🙏🏼❤️

I purchased the first two copies of VFMW. The virtual travel during a time period the world had to stay home brightened many of my days. The kinship and bond these beautiful books have created will last and surpass . Thank you for allowing me to be part of it.

Than you for your great and successfull job with the fantastic photos! I bought the 2 books during the Pandemie and I loved to look at the pictures in my isolation. I rented an apartment in a house in Sweden with a common library. When I went back home to France I wrote a thankyou/farewell greeting in the books and I left them there. Hoping that they would be a joy also to the other persons in the house.

Thank you again Barbara Duriau and team! Your vision and execution of this wonderful opportunity to remain connected to society during a very uncertain time reflects the good in humanity. It was with your selflessness that many people were able to remain hopeful and optimistic about the light at the end of the tunnel. I will treasure the first volume of VFMW. As you said, Barbara, Facebook may disappear but the memories of beautiful worldwide views will not and how precious to have the glorious book, yes, physical books are glorious, to take a spin around the world every now and then!

In the beginning, I looked at all the VFMW posts, but then I slowly got rid of Facebook. So I rarely saw the VFMW posts. Now, luckily, I noticed that it is being discontinued and I also downloaded the Higlights edition, and I must admit that I cried a little while reading it. During these 3 years, my whole life changed, home office became normal, real meetings with colleagues became special. The view from my bedroom window, which became important at the beginning of the pandemic, has remained important ever since, because I have spent most of my life in this room for 3 years. VFMW was a very good and thought provoking idea. Thank you for the work you put in, and you can be very proud of the result!

Sad to see this end but have really enjoyed and appreciated the community you've created through something so simple yet powerful. Thank you for everything that you and your volunteer team have done throughout the pandemic.

Dear Barbara and Team, you did SO much for this world during a very scary time. Who knew that we could all be brought closer together as a result. I had the great honor, also, of having a photo about my beloved heart dog (Holly) and her passing on Easter appear in the first edition and in the Japanese version. That so many many people learned of her is so deeply soothing to my heart. This was just one of truly millions of awe inspiring things you accomplished for us all. Much love, Diane
