I was so thrilled to join this FB group one year into COVID. I posted a photo taken from our kitchen window that showed the maple trees in the forest behind our home. I loved seeing all the views from all over the world. There was something calming to know we were all in the same boat through this historical time.

View From My Window was a wonderful project that marked my time during the Pandemic lockdown. Not only did I order the first book, but I kept my own scrapbook of printed photos and stories that I really loved. I particularly enjoyed the New Year’s countdown around the world. Thanks to millions who contributed, and most especially to Barbara and her teams for making it happen!

I remember the first time I saw a post, I was working from home during lockdown and decided to post my view, just of my garden with its 6ft wall (I live in South Africa after all). I've followed this page ever since. Well done to all involved. I've loved every minute of every view and got to travel the world.

Thank you for creating and administering View From My Window. I can't think of anything I have enjoyed more online. It was wonderful to see views from all over our world and to feel like our kindred spirits were communicating with us.

I posted my "view" early on, as soon as I found your wonderful page. What a fabulous idea and unbelievable journey. I can only imagine the work load behind it. I will certainly miss seeing all the beautiful window views!

Thank you for starting this amazing group. I have enjoyed seeing photos from all over the world and chatting to people briefly who I will never meet but care about just the same. Seeing the lovely comments and love from contributors has restored my faith in human nature. There are truly so many kind and caring people on our beautiful planet ❤️

This wonderful page was a beacon of light during such a dark time in the world. When so many people were being isolated from each other, this page brought us all together. Sharing our little piece of the world, no matter how plain or how pretty, somehow made us all feel that we were not alone. Thank you!!

VFMW was the highlight of my day, often several times a day!!! Even as the pandemic subsided, it was my "breather", my momentary escape. I LOVE to travel but my wallet doesn't share the same passion. VFMW gave me that opportunity and soothed my soul. I am heartbroken to see it go. Truly. Thank you to all those who have for sharing your corners of this big beautiful world with this California girl. I am forever changed and deeply grateful.

I have loved (and lived) the pictures from everyone. It was the highlight of my day to sit and 'travel' the world. Such beauty that one does not realize it until one sees the pictures. It was a gift that I could 'travel' with every day. Thank you all for your time spent on this project and thanks to all who submitted a part of their lives.
