I have loved being a part of this group , thank you team from the bottom of my heart. Every view was special and during lockdown it raised my spirits and I realised we were all part of a greater community.

VFMW has been a lovely part of this pandemic for me. I could travel every day, to places thousands of miles away, and feel connected to my fellow humans. Thank you to the VFMW team for doing the admin work day in and day out, and thank you to everyone who submitted photos. Your views are lovely and I wish all of you - all of US! - the best. x

I did not submit a photo having just moved into an apartment. When Covid confined everyone it left us with not a lot of communication either orally or visually. There was no traveling yet suddenly we were traveling to different places and parts of the world! What a joy!
I thank all of you who submitted, edited and otherwise did the hour to hour editing to make all this possible! Bless you all!

View from my Window appeared at just the right moment. I can’t imagine it before the pandemic, and it made enduring the pandemic a tad easier for those of us who long to connect with others—around our region or around the world. And it did it through the eyes (and cameras) of real people with real stories, hopes and dreams—not through the lens of a production. Thank you for this gentle reminder that we are all part of one dynamic, incredible world.

It was a lovely way to learn about and connect with others from all over the globe. You've made the world a smaller yet vassly connected planet. This site was such a gift during the darkest days of the COVID-19 pandemic, when there wasn't much life beyond the window. I know that I have not completely processed that time and perhaps never will. But I am grateful for what this site brought to me and to my mom, now 86.
