I love seeing all the every day normal life views from countries that I've never been to. Such a great reminder that while we live very far apart, our lives are often very similar in many ways.

I’ve never been overly fond of Facebook. But this past winter I was drawn in by this page. My Bachelors degree is in Geography. And I always dreamed of travel. It’s still a dream and sadly now it will remain that way. But this page put me into so many different places and connected me to so many others across the globe.

I have got so much enjoyment seeing all the different views from peoples, the opposite seasons, the varied environments that have been shared. Along with this the wonderful stories, encouragement and interaction. Thanks to those who made it happen and to my fellow participants for bringing such joy at a time when we surely need it . I will miss seeing your views and reading your stories .😀💚🤗

I have loved being part of View Through My Window. It’s amazing how similar we all are, no matter where we are in the world. I’ve seen posts from places I’ve been, places that I’ve had to Google. I’ve also loved that many have shared their personal stories and in doing so, have connected with others in similar circumstances and have gained support and encouragement from those people and others seeing their views and posts. So many beautiful places in the world, ordinary views (mine included) that are precious to the owners, and so many wonderful and compassionate people out there. VTMW has been a solace to us all throughout Covid. Thanks so much for the memories.

This wonderful site gave me such hope and helped build my resilience during the Covid pandemic. It helped me feel connected with others around the world, and in some ways replaced or reflected our many travels in previous years. Thank you Barbara, your team and all the contributors.

Thank you for allowing us to feel connected to others around the world. I have discovered so many amazing views and places that I never would have know existed. My travel bucket list has become much longer and more adventurous! Thank you and all the moderators for your time.

Thank you to all the hundreds who have taken me all around the world. Your beautiful pictures of your homes. Gardens and cities have brightened up many a day for me.
