I joined VFMW almost from the start. But, in fall of 2021, I saw a post from a man in Karachi, Pakistan. I commented that a friend was from Karachi, though I'd lost touch with him. "Wouldn't it be amazing if you knew him", I wrote. He did! What ensued in the next few minutes was amazing (and not entirely allowed by admins, but it happened very quickly) The Poster put up my friends contact LI info. Because I'd sprained my hip and was basically glued to my laptop, I captured the info instantly before it was removed. I messaged my friend on LI. Within seconds an international code popped up on my mobile phone. I heard my friend's voice for the first time in decades. He'd been trying to reconnect since we parted ways in the 1990's. He'd been living in the midwest of the US, same as me. But, only 4 months earlier had been transferred with work to Dubai, and he invited me to come visit. The circumstances that brought about this reconnection with my friend was simply amazing. were it not for VFMW, it NEVER would have happened. Miracles have happened because of VFMW!

I am so grateful for having discovered this page. It’s like traveling without traveling and going to places I would never have been able to see in a lifetime. I want to think the creators of the page and everyone who contributed a photo of the views from your windows. It’s been so inspiring! See you on the new page!

I joined the VFMW in April 2020 and was able to enjoy lovely places and comment on wonderful posts. We were all so scared and it was a chance to feel united, hopeful and loved. Thanks so much for this group and the great work done by the administrators! You were incredible!

Thank you for VFMW. This helped keep me sane during the pandemic. I knew the world was beautiful, but this page opened my eyes to the wonders of the world and beyond and for that I am forever grateful!

This group got me through the dark, scary days of the pandemic. Instead of feeling isolated and alone, VFMW kept me connected to people from all around the world. We didn’t only share the view from our windows, we shared love and hope.

I will surely miss this group, been my inspiration during this pandemic, I was able to see some other part of the world thru your post. VFMW has been a breath of fresh air. Much appreciation to the creator and moderators for spreading positivity especially in the times of the pandemic/post-pandemic world. Alas, all great things come to an end - what an amazing run it had been!
