I will miss this site so much, I feel like I’ve visited all the homes of the people that have had their photos shown. It’s been a great journey and I loved seeing each and every photo. Thankyou for helping to keep us “alive” mentally, you will be sadly missed, much appreciation to all involved ❤️

I absolutely loved this website! I can't believe it will be paused for awhile. Singing songs to everyone who is a part of it. See you soon, hopefully. 🥲

As a snapshot of the world, not just through unprecedented times like the pandemic but as life returned to normality, VFMW is a precious resource for future social historians. Nothing else has ever captured everyday life from such diverse places and lives with no commercial motive. Started simply but with extraordinary outcomes and an impact on millions, on behalf of everyone in this world thankyou Barbara and VFMW team.

As delicious as some of the landscapes are, my favs are windows with views of walls or carparks or village houses or tiny gardens. Truly a window into locations unlike my own.

To have created this incredible view into our unique, international, personal space - is EXTRAORDINARY!! There is no substitute for human contact, and VFMW site connected us simply by our individual "view". It was - and remains, a beautiful experince. Thank you.
