I have enjoyed views from windows all my life. It has been a pleasure to have seen so many views from here for the past few years, when the only variety could have been the changing of our seasons. Thank you.

I have enjoyed this page from the very beginning and have purchased each book. They are precious memories during and after the time of lock-down. They were a way to see the world and meet new people during a time when you were not able to leave your house. Thank you for everything!!!!!

I joined this amazing group back at the beginning of the ‘journey’ and have loved ‘travelling’ all around the world with you. I bought a world map and put a sticker on each place I viewed. It’s a great reminder of so many beautiful and not so beautiful places. Thank you Barbara Duriau for creating this and your hard work to keep it going. Now it’s time to put yourself first. Look after yourself and thank you once again x

Such a brilliantly positive community connection and cohesion idea - the best on Facebook in my opinion. It was uniting in a way that social media can be when it’s at its best and so that is worth celebrating in itself. More than that it communicated to people, some of whom lived on their own, or may have felt lonely or who lived in isolated places that they were part of a welcoming inclusive community, drawing contributions from all corners of the globe. It really was a window on the world that provided such interesting and often stunningly beautiful glimpses of the landscape that contributors gazed upon from their homes on a daily basis. Thank you for being such an amazing community.

Bravo Barbara Duriau !!!

During a very DARK time when the entire world was struggling with a horrible virus and we were "Locked DOWN" View From My Window" opened our eyes and shared with all of us how wonderful and diverse EARTH truly is - such a bright spot for me and many others. Gratitude and kudos to all involved.

I became a member, via my cousin, just before VFMW closed the “first” time in early 2020. It was a saviour during Victoria Australia’s long lockdowns - amongst the longest in the world. Whilst our journey had been apart as adults, she and I were all close as kids. We loved sharing our thoughts on the amazing lives out there. Even more precious now, as last month she passed after a 2 year battle with ovarian cancer. Now, every rainbow I see is a message from her, reminding me to enjoy every moment.

Thank you for all you have done. I have been able to see views from all over the world and from a lot of places I won’t be able to visit in my life time which has been fantastic and have the feeling of having visited them. Thank you once again.

I have so loved my daily dose of "view from my window" as I have now traveled the world while sitting at home. Besides the beautiful views it was also a way into the lives and hearts of so many people. Thank you!

Joining this group in the very early days of its existance has given me such pleasure seeing photos from around the world. During Covid it was a very isolating time for us here during lockdown and it felt as though we had friends in all parts of the world sharing their life with us. Such a beautiful and diverse world we live in! I will miss the connection. Thankyou!
