I am so thankful to have been a part of this from pretty close to the beginning. It has been absolutely incredible. I now own both of the books. Thank you to those who worked to keep this going for so long! God Bless!

The sharing of our views gave us a glimpse of a world greater than the one we were living in. For one brief shining moment we had a visual Camelot.

VFMW provided a connection to other folk across our world, during a time of physical and emotional isolation. It was heartening, inspiring and humbling to be in this global community. 🙏🏼❤️

I purchased the first two copies of VFMW. The virtual travel during a time period the world had to stay home brightened many of my days. The kinship and bond these beautiful books have created will last and surpass . Thank you for allowing me to be part of it.

Than you for your great and successfull job with the fantastic photos! I bought the 2 books during the Pandemie and I loved to look at the pictures in my isolation. I rented an apartment in a house in Sweden with a common library. When I went back home to France I wrote a thankyou/farewell greeting in the books and I left them there. Hoping that they would be a joy also to the other persons in the house.

Thank you again Barbara Duriau and team! Your vision and execution of this wonderful opportunity to remain connected to society during a very uncertain time reflects the good in humanity. It was with your selflessness that many people were able to remain hopeful and optimistic about the light at the end of the tunnel. I will treasure the first volume of VFMW. As you said, Barbara, Facebook may disappear but the memories of beautiful worldwide views will not and how precious to have the glorious book, yes, physical books are glorious, to take a spin around the world every now and then!

In the beginning, I looked at all the VFMW posts, but then I slowly got rid of Facebook. So I rarely saw the VFMW posts. Now, luckily, I noticed that it is being discontinued and I also downloaded the Higlights edition, and I must admit that I cried a little while reading it. During these 3 years, my whole life changed, home office became normal, real meetings with colleagues became special. The view from my bedroom window, which became important at the beginning of the pandemic, has remained important ever since, because I have spent most of my life in this room for 3 years.VFMW was a very good and thought provoking idea. Thank you for the work you put in, and you can be very proud of the result!

Sad to see this end but have really enjoyed and appreciated the community you've created through something so simple yet powerful. Thank you for everything that you and your volunteer team have done throughout the pandemic.

Dear Barbara and Team, you did SO much for this world during a very scary time. Who knew that we could all be brought closer together as a result. I had the great honor, also, of having a photo about my beloved heart dog (Holly) and her passing on Easter appear in the first edition and in the Japanese version. That so many many people learned of her is so deeply soothing to my heart. This was just one of truly millions of awe inspiring things you accomplished for us all. Much love, Diane

The Covid-lockdown was a never-seen-before event ! It was an incredible period with big consequences for a lot of people... The world needed solidarity and emotional sharing... Barbara Duriau offered us the opportunity to share our stories and view-travelling with this group on FB ! Thank you Barbara for this and the creative name of the group 🙏🏼

Thank you for your hard work in putting together VFMW. For those of us who survived (and many did not, worldwide, due to a deadly new virus) we will not forget this time. And yet, this virus brought the world together in a unique way as it leveled the playing field; no one was immune. And sharing the view from our own windows as this virus raged & ravaged, brought us together as well. Your endeavor brought us humanity, light and beauty in an historic time in the world. Thank you again, Barbara and your team. And Welcome to the REST of your life! Enjoy.

Cela me fera des souvenirs!

Every view was beautiful in its own way. So were the contributors - and the people who ran the site. Such a lovely idea to help us all remain connected during the pandemic. Thank you.

I joined View From My Window in April of 2020. It helped each day as we all stayed at home. Our members supported each other and shared our stories throughout these very difficult times. We shared losses and joys and opened the world for each other when we were all closed in. Thank you so much to all of the admin and volunteers who helped bring joy and affirmation to so many during these challenging times. So very sorry it was a heavy burden even while giving such joy. I much appreciate your gifts to all of us. May you find as much joy as you have given to the millions here that you helped. Peace be with you. ❤️
