Before Covid my husband and I were blessed to travel the world. That certainly was halted , but I still got to travel vicariously through all of the lovely pictures and posts so generous given. Thank you VFMW for all of the fun !!!

View From My Window was a light during a dark time for the world and it's inhabitants. The love, peace, and support to and from so many was proof that we CAN be kind to one another, if we so choose. It made us remember to appreciate all that we have or sadly, something/someone we lost. It has been a privilege to be part of such a remarkable group these past few years and I shall miss it with an endearing fondness. Thank you to all for making this possible. Cheers!

There are not enough words to thank the team of volunteers who made this happen for the World! You reached out and made it possible for all of us to do the same. History was captured but so were hearts and will keep on giving in the days to come. Humans together touched lives of people around the world, breaking every barrier and bringing us together. I am glad to have experienced this in my lifetime. Blessings to All who became a part of our lives!

This certainly was one of the highlights of a Facebook group. I travelled the world through people’s photos - laughed and cried with many stories and loved every minute of your photos from the stunning to a brick wall -each view and story was different and unique and very special. Thank you to everyone who shared their view from a window ❤️❤️

Love seeing other countries, from real people that actually live in the countries.

How this group happened is almost magical to me. We all were mostly staying safe at home without much interaction, and suddenly this group opened my world view! Through your photos I’ve had a glimpse of places I had never thought of visiting. And I’ve read such kindness in comments to complete strangers. Thank you to everyone who worked on this and peace to all who participated. It’s been lovely.

I joined VFMW just after it started, when no-one was really too sure when, how or if the pandemic might end. It was a time when we all needed so badly to connect with others. I’ve found comfort in reading the comments and in seeing so many people’s views since then - some ordinary, some amusing and some that were frankly beyond amazing. VFMW has been a wonderfully welcoming group of kindness and positivity, created during a uniquely difficult period in time. I will miss it, but will truly treasure the memories. Thank you to the creator and the admins who worked so hard behind the scenes throughout.

I am speechless, well kinda! I have loved this group. It made a big difference in my life. I am now 70 and it will surely go down as one of the greatest experiences of my life. No matter what you do in life, you will find success. Why? Because you have vision to see the world as one place, and we are one people! Nothing can change that.. live well and may all you dreams come true

I've been a member of VFMW from 27mar20, only a few days after it was started by Barbara and loved each and every picture posted and especially loved the stories behind the pictures. I most appreciated the 'not so idyllic' pictures as that is most likely how most people live. I loved also the exhibition in the forest in Belgium - so very impressive - and wished we would have been able to go to the one in Brussels as well. All the best for the future Barbara! Chapeau!

As difficult as Covid-19 was for so many in the world, it brought joy and sanity for so many by connecting through the internet. The views from our windows are so different, but we need to keep looking and seeing the beauty of our world. Thank you.

The site will always be the best thing about Facebook. Sharing a lot more than a photograph, members joined in opening our eyes to places around the world when we were all confined to our homes in various ways. You created a world community of kindness! We saw not only window views but people’s views and noted our similarities rather than our differences! Merci!
