I have loved the positivity of this site. I read everyone of the 2.2k comments when I posted my view and loved hearing so many stories from across the world. Thanks to the admin for putting so much time and effort in.

I was fortunate enough to find VFMW within the first three weeks of its creation. This allowed me to enjoy almost the full three years of this magnificent experiment! I call this an experiment because it was something that nobody had done before and it was created during an unprecedented time in something that affected the entire world. Rarely has it happened that there has been something that affected every human being on this planet! But here we are, three years after a devastating global pandemic and many of us have survived this horrible ordeal. Even though we were united in our fear and concern for those who were stricken with Covid, we survived and are here to carry on in this world! We have not only experienced the worst pandemic to plague the planet but we experienced A View From My Window which was a wonderful effort to unite us in hope! There was so much heartache but yet VFMW gave us the opportunity to unite and experience the lifestyle and view that people all around the world were seeing as we were denied everything except the view from our own windows!

What a wonderful, inspiring idea - an idea that came when the world so needed it. It has been such a pleasure - and often quite moving - to be part of the View From My Window phenomenon. Thank you so much!

A world of thanks to Barbara and the team she formed, for this ingenious, ever-growing project!I have been a member since April 2020. I traveled frequently pre-Covid, and seeing everyone's views and learning their stories through VFMW, especially during lockdowns which was why this group was started, helped to satisfy my wanderlust with stunning views of nature, cities, and places I've dreamed of seeing in person. It also kept the main reason I travel alive within me: to meet people of other cultures and backgrounds. To learn of our similarities more than our differences. To care for each other. To share.Thank you so much Barbara for the countless hours, and your brilliance, skills, and energy put in to making the world a better place for so many of us during Covid and beyond!

It has been a privilege to have been a member of this group and be able to have a window into the view and lives of people around the world. Thank for the brilliant idea that brought joy into so many lives at a time when we all needed joy.

So very thankful and amazed for the idea of this community. During a time when isolation was the name of the game due to the Pandemic , this group allowed anyone to connect to others around the world by sharing their view from a room in their home. It was as if you were traveling to other countries and sharing in each other's experience . It was connection in a time of disconnect. It was an ingenious idea made manifest. Thank You

I too will miss visiting other folks views. It was very soothing for me. I didn’t realize…was the page begun due to Covid and all of those who stayed home? What a great idea for us to see so many views. So sorry to see the page no longer be a view for us all.
