This was a true lifeline during the pandemic. Thank you so much for creating it. I really enjoyed (and was envious) of everyone's views from their windows.

view from my Window save my sanity during the pandemic and brought great views from around the world. I appreciate your hard work and all your volunteers. You will hold a special place in my heart. Have your first book and saved some of my favorite views. Will never forget what you did for the world.

I had a wonderful time when I joined VFMW. Then, an opportunity came to be a Moderator. For 19 months, I was able to be part of an amazing team. We laughed, talked, had zoom meetings and worked on approving and declining photos from all over the world. We are still keeping in touch and will always remember our role as Moderators/Admins. Thank you Barbara, for this gift to the world. Sincerely, Patsy Scales

Thank you so much to everyone involved in this quite unique and wonderful project. So sorry it is ending, but totally understand why. One of the bright spots to look forward to in the pandemic and afterwards. Thank you also to all the thousands of contributors who shared their Views!

I was a member of VFMW 1-2 months into the pandemic. I thoroughly loved seeing a small corner of so many people’s world! Amazing photos. Thank you for inviting me in! The words that were written and support that was given through the pandemic was so uplifting to read. Hello from Anchorage, Alaska💛

Thank you to all of the people who worked on moderating this group and to everyone who submitted views from around the world! I joined while we were in lockdown in the early days of the pandemic and really enjoyed seeing everyone's photos from around the world, especially when travel wasn't possible. This group was a wonderful gift.

It was the spring of 2020 and the world had retreated inside our small personal spaces, afraid to be contaminated and bring disease or death home to our families. Everyone was so isolated. We all looked longingly outside our windows when on one brave individual shared theirs - and another and another. It was magical. We connected with pictures and greetings with our fellow lonely humankind around the world. It was an act of kindness and an act of beauty. The spirit of the world is strong and its vibrant and it’s good. Amen.

So grateful to have been part of this ray of sunshine in the midst of Covid. I loved seeing comments and photos from all over the world - one human family! If only everyone in the world could realize how much we have in common and how small are our differences.

This page and books helped me get through the anxiety of the pandemic. News stories were horrific, showing the spread of disease, and all the people losing the fight. To come to the page, and find photos from around the globe, read stories from others, helped me find a bit of peace and joy. Thank you for this beautiful legacy from a terrible event.

I’m truly blessed to have ownership of the two printed books. As the pandemic wizened many of us, this page was an amazing “window” on our world. Thanks to all who contributed.

I joined VFMW right after it began and have loved visiting everyone's homes and views. What a wonderful experience! It was the perfect thing to keep us engaged and uplifted during the COVID pandemic. Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) to everyone involved.

I very much enjoyed viewing the world from your window during the pandemic. To everyone who contributed, thank you for inviting me into your home and sharing your world with me. To all the admins and moderators, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to momentarily be part of another world. Being part of this community kept us connected during the pandemic. We weren’t alone, we went through it together and that it really is quite amazing. Thank you again.

Thank you so much for this wonderful project. Through the dark days of COVID living on my own, it shed some light and gave great happiness. It was inspiring to see all the views around the world and to read people's stories. I have the first VFMW book, which will always be a valuable remnder of those days and the hope it inspired that one day I would be able to go travelling again.
