View From My Window saw us all through a very dark time. The sun is out again in many ways and the joy and community created with VFMW will last forever.

Brilliant idea, well done Barbara. Everything has it's price, you should just pass it on... good luck in your life without VFRW...

I enjoyed every post that I saw this in group! Comments were all wonderful and supportive, really a shining example of how great social media can be when we are kind and respectful. Thank you to the administrators for all their hard work. At the root, we are all the same. Be well!

Through the dark days of isolation View from My Window lifted my spirits. When I could no longer travel around the world or even in my own country the pictures and messages posted from around the world made me remember the beauty and kindness of people everywhere. I feel like I’m part of a worldwide family. Thank you for bringing all of us together.

Thank you for doing this project. It was amazing in so many ways! The best; being able to “travel” with all the submitted photos during the pandemic. You helped maintain a little world of serenity and calm during the chaos. I will treasure my book as something wonderful that came from that time of uncertainty. Thank you, thank you, thank you!❤️

I only joined a few weeks before the end and would have loved to see more. But I'm glad I got to be a part of it for this short time. I loved every picture I saw!

I have been a member since the very beginning but never entered a view photo. I loved to see all the photos from around the world, the different seasons and weather. I kept thinking one day l will have a view worth posting where all my 5 birdhouses have tenants and then l would post that view. Alas, birds keep their own schedules. It has been a joy to read the messages and see the photos and l can only imagine all the due diligence that has been part of the volunteers daily lives and the time spent by Barbara, the owner of this site. I will miss it but l see that some of the admins and moderators have taken up the gauntlet and started a new site so perhaps l will get to post a view after all. Thank you so much for the past three years. It has been a joyful distraction from all the fear and sadness that Covid has brought upon the world.

Thank you for A View From My Window. It was a brilliant idea and a blessing during the Covid pandemic lockdowns when travel was not possible. It was wonderful to see so many beautiful views from ordinary homes around the world. I will miss it.

View From My Window was such a wonderful, amazing project to be involved with. Such a brilliant way to bring the people of the world together during an uncertain time in the history of the world; through our shared experience, bringing love and light to the darkness of a global pandemic. Blessings and good health to all.

I have loved this so much. I got one of the books and traveled through it like I travel with maps, studying each entry and imagining myself there. I saw so many places I will never travel to and got a sense of hundreds of potential friends. And now, you and the team will have more time to enjoy your own pursuits and breathe again. Many thanks for this blessing that I will never forget.
