When the world shut it's doors you opened our windows and allowed us to connect. I was one of the first Americans to come down with covid..it was a very frightening time. This FB page gave me a way to connect and not feel so isolated. Thank you.

Thank you so much to Barbara, and all who helped her. This site helped me through COVID-19 and allowed me to see things I will never have a chance to see. I love everyone’s story and their simple pictures of their lives and history. The world is a beautiful place. Thank you so much.

View From My Window brought me so much joy in the darkest moments of our isolation from one another. Although I never posted my view, this page was always the first and last one I viewed. I've saved many of the views. Thanks to all who brought these views to so many of us!

I loved seeing the views from around the world. It was great to read everyone’s comments. It was the highlight of my day when we couldn’t see anyone or go anywhere and we were all in the same boat. I will continue reading my 2 books. Thank you.

View From My Window was a lovely antidote, a needed community, during the pandemic. Connecting with others, even just by viewing their view from home, brought joy. Thanks for all the hard work that went into sustaining this group for three years.

I loved every moment of VFMW. Each story brought back memories of my travels to foreign lands and the enormous pleasure of meeting and glimpsing bits of life in other cultures. And oh, the pleasure of meeting so many beautiful souls from countries other than my own and sharing stories of our lives. This is what VFMW also gave me. Love to all who contributed - you gave me so much pleasure!!!

L’humanité « at its best ». Bonne route à vous toutes et tous Martine

Thank you to everyone who shared their views during what is--and will likely to remain--the strangest time of my life! While I was more of a viewer and occasional commentor than a view-poster, it made the pandemic years a lot easier to bear. For those of you who live in regions suffering from medical, political or economic strife, I wish you the very best and hope for a better future!
